Rob Wenger has 30 years of experience as an entrepreneurial founder and technology executive. He is the Co-Founder of Higher Logic and currently the Chief Executive Officer for the company. Founded in 2007, Higher Logic connects people, knowledge and ideas through its community and engagement platform. Higher Logic serves over 3,000 customers through 350,000+ online communities with over 200 million users in 42 countries worldwide.
Previously, Rob was Chief Product Officer and Executive Chairman of Association Analytics, Founder and CEO of Cloud Generation as well as a Board of Director for Cosential. Underlying Rob’s repeated success is a deep passion and expertise in product strategy and development. Across businesses, associations and nonprofits, he works to positively impact each client’s success using smart, collaborative technology.

Managing Director
Kevin Boyce has over 20 years of experience as a technology executive driving success for small to large software companies. He was most recently CEO of Higher Logic and transitioned to Managing Director for the company.
In 2018 Kevin joined Higher Logic tasked with leveling up the organization following the acquisitions of Socious, Kavi, Informz, and Real Magnet. He led the Integration of the global acquisitions, brands, customers, and teams, setting a unified mission and strategic plan, developed the management team for the future, and established a strategic plan to drive business growth including the acquisitions of Gain Grow Retain, Vanilla (Forums), and eConverse Media
Previously, Kevin was Chief Operating Officer at Ellucian, a cloud-technology ERP solution for higher education, where he led the global services, customer success, cloud, and enterprise project management teams, as well as Ellucian’s global partnerships and corporate development activities. Prior to that Kevin served as Chief Financial Officer at Ellucian. During his tenure, he led Ellucian from $100M to $750M in revenues and successfully executed multiple sale and recapitalization transactions with an aggregate value greater than $4.5 billion.
He is a Board of Director of Level Access and Unanet (both JMI Equity companies), a Board of Director of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, a former member of the Software Advisory Council of Hellman & Friedman, and a former Board of Director of Deltek (a Thoma Bravo Company).
In 2010 and 2016, the Northern Virginia Technology Council of Greater Washington DC named Kevin the Private Company Chief Financial Officer of the Year, and in 2015 he was named a Trending 40: Top Tech Chief Financial Officer by Bisnow. Kevin holds a degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
Chief Technology Officer
Steve was born and raised in sunny, landlocked Phoenix, Arizona, but his first job was in the US Navy as a Submarine Officer. His career path led him through stints in engineering-related positions in the semiconductor industry, the mining industry, and ultimately, in the software industry. Steve joined Higher Logic in 2017 after the acquisition of Socious, an online community and association management software provider, which he co-founded and where he served as Chief Technology Officer.
Steve has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Nuclear Sciences from Arizona State University.
Chief Financial Officer
Tricia brings over 20 years of financial operating experience in the technology industry. She focuses on enabling fast-growing companies to maximize their potential by developing and implementing strategies to drive financial and operational performance and sustainable business growth. Previously, Tricia held several executive roles for private equity-backed technology companies, serving as Chief Financial Officer for Social Solutions, Relias Learning, and Mitratech. She also held numerous financial roles for Sunquest Information Systems and Misys Healthcare Systems.
Tricia earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University
Chief Marketing Officer
Erika brings more than 20 years of marketing experience in technology to Higher Logic. She has proven success in all aspects of marketing for B2B, B2SMB, and B2C businesses experiencing scaling growth. Erika was previously the Chief Marketing Officer for Springbot and has also held senior product marketing and marketing positions at Oracle Social Cloud and Vitrue (prior to its acquisition by Oracle in August 2012). In addition, she has held numerous executive-level marketing positions with Earthlink, MindSpring (prior to its merger with Earthlink), and Rackspace.
Erika earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Berry College and has completed post-graduate executive level education in finance at Harvard Business School and marketing at Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.
She is a lifelong runner and has been on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Track Club since 2016. Erika has also held the post of Secretary for the Atlanta Track Club Board of Directors since 2019. She can be found sharing running and technology news, trends, and tips on Twitter @ebrookes.
Chief People Officer
Joanna leads the people strategy and execution for Higher Logic. She has over 20 years of human resources experience, during which she has aligned people strategy to support organizational goals. With her philosophy of ‘person first, employee second,’ Joanna brings an authentic approach to balancing the needs of the people with organizational strategy. Areas of expertise include: organizational design and development, leadership development, employee engagement and development, benefits and compensation strategy, talent acquisition, acquisition integration and cultural transformation.
Prior to joining Higher Logic, Joanna served as the Chief People Officer for Intradiem. She has also served as Vice President of Human Resources for both eVestment Alliance, as well as Aptean, Inc. Joanna played a pivotal role in launching programs that create great managers and leaders, cultivating a culture of feedback and development for all employees. She has a depth of experience from her role on the Learning & Development team at JDA Software and as the Director of Talent Acquisition & Development for RedPrairie, where she started as a Senior HR Consultant working with recently acquired companies on personnel integration.
Joanna received her undergraduate degree (B.A.) from NYU and her graduate degree (M.A.T.S.) from Claremont School of Theology.
EVP & Chief Customer Officer
Jay has spent several years in different functional leadership roles in which he has developed a methodology for building, scaling, and operating customer-centered organizations. Jay began his career as an engineer and data architect at Blackbaud before moving into Services and Product leadership roles over the course of 8+ years. With roots planted firmly in the software industry, Jay moved on to become an executive at PeopleMatter which sold to Snagajob in 2016. In 2017, Jay founded Customer Imperative, a consultancy focused on B2B SaaS, which eventually developed the Gain Grow Retain customer success leadership community. In 2020, Customer Imperative was acquired by Higher Logic and Jay joined the team as Chief Customer Officer.

EVP & Chief Product Officer
James has more than 25 years of experience leading enterprise product portfolios, with a strong track record of driving innovation, growth, and scale. James leads product strategy, management, and marketing at Higher Logic, focusing on driving growth and building customer connections to make them more successful. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Global Product Strategy at Ellucian, where he led the development of innovative solutions designed to unify the higher education community and help positively impact student success. Prior to that, he held product marketing and product management leadership roles at Infor, MAPICS, and Symix. He holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology from East Carolina University.
